💙💛Hello to all of our NBJRL Marlins families💛💙
Many of our players are proud owners of the charity jerseys sponsored by local businesses in 2019, as part of our fundraising efforts for MND NSW. Those charity jerseys were inspired the struggle of one of our very special NBJRL families – the Lingards. It is with a very very heavy heart tonight, that we let all of you know that Steve has finally lost the battle against this debilitating disease on 14 September 2020.
In true Steve style, he has first left his mark on the world of anti-maskers (see the link) even in these final stages of his life as he soldiered on in truly remarkable fashion.
Steve was truly ‘one of the good ones’. A loving husband, Dad, foster Dad, good mate and an always willing hand – be it volunteering or helping a mate. His spirit and fight was something fantastic to see and he will be so greatly missed. We are asking that all of our NBJRL Marlins taking the field this weekend wear black armbands in tribute as we send all of our love and support to the Lingard family.
💙💛🌹💐🌼REST IN PEACE STEVE 🌼💐🌹💛💙
Our final week of footy is here for our Under 6s through to Under 12s and it is time for semi-finals football for our Under 13s and Under 15s 🤩🥳. Some points to remember this weekend:

✅💧Do bring your own water bottle and keep hydrated!
✅🖐Do sanitise your hands and sign in on arrival, remember to social distance and listen to directions of Ground Managers wherever you play this weekend
✅🦸♂️DO arrive dressed and ready to play your game and leave immediately afterwards
✅🌺Please remember your black armbands for each team in honour of Steve Lingard this weekend
