πŸ’™πŸ’›Hello to all of our NBJRL Marlins familiesπŸ’›πŸ’™
Many of our players are proud owners of the charity jerseys sponsored by local businesses in 2019, as part of our fundraising efforts for MND NSW. Those charity jerseys were inspired the struggle of one of our very special NBJRL families – the Lingards. It is with a very very heavy heart tonight, that we let all of you know that Steve has finally lost the battle against this debilitating disease on 14 September 2020.
In true Steve style, he has first left his mark on the world of anti-maskers (see the link) even in these final stages of his life as he soldiered on in truly remarkable fashion.
Steve was truly ‘one of the good ones’. A loving husband, Dad, foster Dad, good mate and an always willing hand – be it volunteering or helping a mate. His spirit and fight was something fantastic to see and he will be so greatly missed. We are asking that all of our NBJRL Marlins taking the field this weekend wear black armbands in tribute as we send all of our love and support to the Lingard family.
